Thijs has been working as a Food & Agri sector economist for ING’s economic research department since 2012 after three years at Rabobank. He writes articles and opinions for ING’s economic research platform THINK, presents his insights to clients and speaks to media. He focuses on major economic trends in the food industry, aiming to help business leaders make better informed financial choices. His sustainability related work covers net-zero pathways, nature targets and climate adaptation strategies. In addition to his economist role, he leads a team of sector economists.
