With over 3 decades of professional experience in the packaging industry, Debra’s current role as Sustainable Packaging Program Manager at Foodstuffs New Zealand allows her to lead initiatives at the forefront of environmental responsibility. In previous roles, she honed skills in high performance team management, strategic business development and strategy implementation, which now inform a solutions-focused approach. As a sustainable packaging thought leader, Debra believes in a collaborative cradle to grave system-thinking approach to shift the dial on complex packaging waste and material circularity issues. She is working with brands and organizations to achieve their goals of increased efficiency and cost reduction through well designed and managed packaging formats, strong supplier partnerships and a key focus on higher order elements of the waste hierarchy.
