As the Business-Policy Engagement Lead at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Carsten Wachholz support a two-way dialogue where policy decisions shape business action and business experience informs better policy design to deliver on the circular economy transition. He previously co-led the Secretariat of the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty in collaboration with WWF, and led the Brussels based EU policy team at the Foundation. Before, Carsten worked as a Civil Society Officer in the Corporate Responsibility department at the European Investment Bank (EIB). From 2014 to 2018, he engaged on the first EU Circular Economy Action Plan in his capacity as Senior Policy Officer on Resource Conservation and Product Policy at the European Environmental Bureau, a pan-european umbrella group of environmental NGOs.
