Sustainability beyond silos: Can the landscapes approach really catalyze cross- sector collaboration?

Plenary
Back to agenda

Landscape approaches have moved from the margins into the mainstream. Once seen as a sustainability initiative, they are now expected to deliver everything from climate resilience and nature protection to improved livelihoods and long-term supply security. The ambition is growing. The question is whether the model can keep up.

What does success actually look like? Where should companies focus their efforts, and what trade-offs need to be accepted along the way? This discussion will examine how landscape initiatives can move beyond broad ambition towards clear outcomes, meaningful accountability, and measurable impact for people, nature, and supply chains.
