Staying competitive: Why sourcing and sustainability strategies must adapt together

Plenary
Back to agenda

The old sourcing playbook is under strain. The model that prioritised cost, scale and efficiency is under pressure from tighter margins, volatile supply chains and increasing regulatory requirements. At the same time, sustainability teams are being scaled back or deprioritised altogether.

But sustainability is no longer a nice-to-have. Supply chain disruptions from climate change and geopolitical tensions are forcing companies to view sustainability, risk and resilience as interconnected fundamentals of long-term competitiveness. This session will explore how leading companies are adapting their sourcing strategies to secure supply and remain competitive without pushing more risk onto farmers.

Main stage sessions, but not as you know them. Because we’re off-the-record, leading experts can speak candidly about their experience with what works, and what doesn’t. At least half the session is dedicated to audience insights and questions to ensure we tackle the big issues head on.
