Nature and biodiversity risk: What the latest data means for supply chains and production

Back to agenda

According to Ceres research, nature loss is costing the food sector an estimated $253 billion a year. Nature risk is now commercial risk.

For years, climate has dominated the sustainability agenda. Nature is now catching up, and businesses are starting to realise that a degraded forest or a dried-up river can hit the bottom line just as hard as a carbon tax. New targets and reporting standards are pushing companies to take nature as seriously as they take climate. But what does that actually look like in practice? In this session we’ll dig into the latest guidance for measuring nature and biodiversity, how to integrate it into risk management, and how business can shift from nature reporting to meaningful action.
