Resilience in action: Beyond the buzzword, how does true resilience drive meaningful climate action?

10:40 - 11:30
An FAO report suggests that only 15% of agribusinesses report resilience strategies that effectively address climate risks. Yet resilience is widely cited as the answer to agriculture’s challenges.  Every side wants resilience, how are we starting to measure that and what does it really achieve?

This session delves into resilience as a driver of real climate action. We will examine how to move from theory to practice in a way that supports farmers, supply chains, and ecosystems under mounting environmental pressure. In this session, we will:

  • Define what we mean by resilience, looking at essential elements for impact beyond theory
  • Discuss real life examples of studies showing resilience in action
  • Does it need to be somehow measured as a quantifiable ROI for the CFO?
  • Explore steps to build actionable, climate-resilient approaches
