Regenerative is good, but it’s not good enough: What do next generation farmers need?

08:30 - 08:50
The average age of US farmers is 58 according to the latest census. This reflects a worrying long-term trend of aging in the U.S. producer population and poses the question: How do we incentivize next-generation farmers?

While companies are committing to regenerative practices that promise environmental resilience, they often lack a clear path for the next generation of farmers. This session will explore what “good” looks like beyond regenerative basics. We’ll critically examine the specific support essential for young farmers to thrive in a more demanding climate and market landscape, while they move towards the new standard of regenerative practices in agriculture.
