Financial perspective: How are investors responding to modern slavery risks?

09:45 - 10:30
Investors are increasingly using their influence to combat modern slavery. For example, global investors with $2.13 trillion in assets under management recently supported the new Australian Modern Slavery Act.
We will ask our panel to discuss:

  • The role of investors in combating modern slavery in 2019. How are their approaches evolving?
  • Where is modern slavery on the investor priority list?
  • What does their engagement look like, and what happens if they are ignored?
  • The type of commitments from boards that investors expect and want to see
