Dr. Alyssa Harben is an expert in packaging education with a focus on improving the incorporation of sustainability topics into all levels of coursework and the development of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills alongside technical expertise. Her research focus is quantitatively measuring consumer behavior with product-package systems to drive better health and sustainability outcomes. In addition to her time in the university classroom, she has developed continuing education curriculum about sustainable packaging for working professionals in the packaging field, mentored graduate and undergraduate students in packaging research, and developed educational material for k-12 students interested in sustainable packaging.
