Shivam Gusain

Sustainability Strategist

Shivam Gusain is a sustainability strategist and innovation advisor working across the textile and fashion industry. With a background in dyestuff chemistry and water engineering, he operates at the intersection of science, supply chains, and environmental impact. His work helps brands, suppliers, and innovators translate complex technical challenges in areas such as decarbonisation, water stewardship, chemical management, and next-generation materials into actionable strategies.

He draws on deep technical experience in textile processing to conduct emissions hotspot analyses, life cycle assessments, and evaluations of emerging fibres, recycling technologies, and novel chemistry, identifying opportunities for efficiency, risk reduction, and regulatory readiness.

Shivam is also the creator of the Double Dividend Protocol, a model that links supplier-side decarbonisation with next-generation fibre adoption by redirecting verified operational savings toward cleaner materials. Through his writing on Substack and contributions to Ecotextile News, he fosters critical debate on how the industry can balance ambition with feasibility, turning uncertainty into action and helping organisations design sustainability strategies grounded in both science and practicality.
