Giulia Chiari

Second Life Leader

Decathlon

Giulia Chiari is the Second Life Leader at Decathlon, where she is driving the transition towards a more circular and sustainable retail model. With over 15 years of experience across three continents, she has developed deep expertise in e-commerce and marketing, working across both agile startups and large multinational organizations. Having led strategic initiatives in France, the UK, Spain, Italy, the US, and China, she brings a truly global perspective to the challenge of scaling circular business models.

In her current role, Giulia focuses on turning Second Life from ambition into reality. She is leading the strategy, leveraging an ecosystem that challenges the traditional take-make-waste model, creating more sustainable and customer-centric alternatives. Her work sits at the intersection of digital strategy, operations, and user experience, with a strong focus on delivering tangible impact.

Giulia is a strong advocate of test-and-learn methodologies and believes that meaningful innovation in circularity requires experimentation, collaboration, and the courage to rethink established ways of doing business.
