Marlot Kiveron

Sustainability Director / Author

KARL LAGERFELD

Marlot Kiveron is Director of Sustainability at Karl Lagerfeld, where she leads the company’s environmental and social impact strategy. With over 13 years of experience across fashion and retail, Marlot previously built and led the sustainability functions at Otrium and Ace & Tate, guiding both organizations through transformative milestones including B Corp certification, circular business model development, SBTi target setting, and supply chain empowerment. She is known for translating ambition into action by creating lasting structures — from transparent reporting and cross-functional ownership to cultures where sustainability is embedded as a shared responsibility rather than a standalone function.

Marlot is the author of De impactmissie, a practical handbook that outlines a clear seven-step method for driving sustainable transformation within commercial organizations. Through concrete tools for building business cases, creating urgency, and leading change, the book empowers professionals to turn impact into measurable results. Her work has been praised for offering clarity, structure, and momentum to those navigating complex organizational change.

Beyond her corporate role, Marlot is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at institutions including Cambridge University, Nyenrode, and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI), as well as industry platforms such as Dutch Design Week and Amsterdam Fashion Week. In 2020, she co-founded the AMS Sustainability Network, a peer community connecting sustainability leaders from fast-growing companies to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration. Across all her roles, Marlot is driven by one mission: enabling people and organizations to create meaningful, lasting positive impact.
