Cecily Rooney

Senior Sustainability Manager / Founder

Axel Arigato / Informed Collective

Cecily Rooney is the Sustainability Manager at Axel Arigato, where she developed and now leads the business-wide OUR:TOMORROW Sustainability strategy. Her work centres around four main pillars of impact: product and supply chains, environmental footprint, community engagement and ESG legislation. With nearly eight years’ experience delivering impact across high street, luxury, footwear and apparel, she comes with a wealth of hands-on knowledge and a positive, can-do attitude.

Alongside her role at Axel Arigato she is also the founder of Informed Collective, a new non-profit movement focused on consumer education around sustainability in fashion. Through in-person workshops and creative social content, Informed Collective works to bridge the education gap around our everyday consumption choices and the impact they have on the world around us.  Passionate about making sustainability feel accessible and relevant, Cecily uses creative storytelling and engaging visuals to help break down complex sustainability themes into practical, everyday insights. Guided by the mantra of ‘progress over perfection’, Informed Collective encourages people to think differently about what they buy, wear and value. Because once you’re informed you might choose differently, and that’s how change begins.
