Mobeen Chughtai

Group Head - ESG, CSR and Corporate Communications

Soorty Enterprises

Mobeen Chughtai is a global ESG and sustainability leader with over 17 years of cross-sector experience advancing climate action, corporate responsibility, and social impact in the textile and apparel value chain. As Group Head of ESG, CSR and Corporate Communications at Soorty Enterprises – Pakistan’s largest vertically integrated denim manufacturer – he has helped position the company as a benchmark for supplier-side climate ambition, and led the team that delivered Pakistan’s first SBTi-validated Near-Term and Net-Zero targets.

He also serves on the Swedish Government’s Sustainable Textiles Platform and leads the Karachi Cluster of the German Development Cooperation’s WE and TextILES-II programs, aligning a coalition of 40+ manufacturers with EU Green Deal frameworks. Passionate about bridging global expectations with local realities, he works to build sustainable agriculture systems, community resilience, inclusive industrial cultures, and gender equity across value chains.

Known for his reflective storytelling and people-centred approach to sustainability, Mobeen often describes his work as “making responsibility relatable” – transforming policy into purpose, and purpose into shared progress.
