Eric Kalala is a senior executive with more than twenty years of experience in corporate governance, finance, and strategic logistics across international and institutionally complex environments.
He holds a Master’s in Management Engineering from the Institute of Administration and Management at Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium, 2003), a CEMS Master’s in International Management from HEC Paris (2004), and completed Harvard Business School’s General Management Program (2015).
He began his career in corporate finance with the Bolloré Group in 2003, moving into corporate governance and executive leadership from 2012, including roles as Managing Director and later Chairman and CEO from 2019 to 2023. He also served as Deputy CEO of Havas Media DRC (2018–2020) and has been President of the Vivendi Africa Group in the DRC since 2022.
In June 2023, he was appointed CEO of Entreprise Générale du Cobalt (EGC), the DRC’s state-owned entity overseeing artisanal cobalt exploitation.
Eric Kalala is an accredited mining and quarrying agent with the Ministry of Mines, Vice President of the Chamber of Mines of the DRC, and Ambassador of Université Catholique de Louvain in the DRC.
