Our history

From climate action, to Scope 3, to climate resilience

Discover how cross-industry dialogues have evolved at our Climate Resilience Innovation Forum series.

2021 – The Future of Climate Action (Virtual)

As net zero ambitions were accelerating, the conference was focused on understanding supply chain emissions and establishing credible Scope 3 targets. Discussions centred on supplier engagement, circular business models, natural climate solutions and the role of innovation in enabling companies to shift from ‘less harm’ to ‘more good’.

Speakers included: Tesco, PepsiCo, Danone, Walmart, Zurich Insurance Group, and Sky.

2022 – The Future of Climate Action (Virtual)

A year later and the conversation had shifted from ambition to implementation. As organizations developed their net zero roadmaps, there was more of a focus on carbon accounting, procurement, regenerative business models and the role of global standards in driving credible, measurable climate action across complex supply chains.

Speakers included: Diageo, Henkel, Unilever, Nestle, Mattel, and Intel.

2023 – The Future of Climate Action (Washington, DC)

Returning in person in DC, the conference reflected a growing need to translate climate commitments into measurable action. Conversations explored the role of evolving regulation, product carbon footprinting, supplier incentives, carbon markets and the importance of trust and credibility in setting corporate climate strategies.

Speakers included: Mars, Rabobank, Nestle, Ford, Interface, and BNP Paribas.

2024 – The Scope 3 Innovation Forum (Washington, DC)

As Scope 3 became a central business priority in the journey to net zero, the conference evolved to focus more on the practical challenges of supply chain decarbonization. Conversations centred on embedding Scope 3 into procurement, improving and incentivizing supplier collaboration, harnessing better data and preparing for an increasingly uncertain policy landscape.

Speakers included: Ulta Beauty, Mars, Tony’s Chocolonely, SBTi, Ahold Delhaize, and Danone.

2025 – The Scope 3 Innovation Forum (Washington, DC)

Against the background of political uncertainty and supply volatility, businesses began reframing Scope 3 as more than just emissions reduction. Discussions expanded to include resilience, commercial value, and business continuity, with a greater emphasis on climate adaptation, financing decarbonization and protecting long-term supply.

Speakers included: Michelin, Mondelez International, Amazon, Volvo Group, eBay, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

2026 – The Climate Resilience Innovation Forum (New York)

Today’s climate leaders now recognize that climate risk is business risk. Whilst Scope 3 remains central to the conversation, it now sits within a broader business strategy that encompasses resilience, adaptation, energy security, finance and long-term competitiveness. The Climate Resilience Innovation Forum reflects this evolution, bringing together leaders from all sectors and industries to explore how resilient supply chains create lasting commercial advantage for business.

Speakers include: Colgate-Palmolive, Rabobank, Ralph Lauren, Estée Lauder, Panasonic, Bristol Myers Squibb, and many more.
