Barbara obtained a PhD from the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development of University Utrecht and has several years of experience working as a Sustainability Economist in the financial sector in the Netherlands. Among the topics she works on for RaboResearch are climate risk stress testing and estimating financed scope 3 emissions with Mutli-Regional Input-Output Models. Barbara has also published several papers about the impact of climate policies such as carbon taxes or the CBAM. Before working for RaboReserch, Barbara also gained experience as credit risk model consultant and as an economist for the Dutch Central Bank where she participated in developing a transition risk stress test for the financial system.
