Dyeing, finishing and wet processing drive a large share of fashion’s emissions, water use and chemical impact, yet tier 2 attracts less coordinated innovation and investment than any other supply chain stage. Fashion for Good’s Future Forward Factories tackles this with an end-to-end approach to factory transformation, linking open-source blueprints with demonstrator sites, retrofits, supplier tools and financing pathways.
Each blueprint is built around a specific region and product, factoring in local energy systems, market conditions and a just transition lens, so that near net-zero facilities deliver a strong return on investment while improving conditions for workers and communities.
With the Honduras and Pakistan blueprints now complete, representatives of Elcatex and Artistic Milliners discuss what near net-zero looks like for Honduran knit and Pakistani denim production, and what it will take to turn blueprints into retrofits across their industries.
Who should join:
- Tier 2 manufacturers weighing decarbonisation investments or planning retrofits
- Brand sourcing and sustainability teams working to cut supply chain emissions
- Investors and financial institutions funding manufacturing upgrades
- Technology providers in dyeing, finishing and renewable energy
- Policymakers and industry bodies shaping manufacturing standards in Central America and South Asia
