Michal Zrust

Michal brings over 25 years of experience in conservation, biodiversity, and corporate sustainability across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America, spanning work from the field to corporate boardrooms. He leads Lestari Capital’s strategy for the sustainable commodities sector, spearheading the conceptualisation, development, and implementation of innovative conservation finance mechanisms. Michal is an invited expert and representative on numerous technical and governance bodies for certification systems, including the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil and the Forestry Stewardship Council, among others. He has worked extensively in Indonesia for 15 years.
