Florian is the Global Climate Modeling Manager at Nestlé. In his role, Florian is responsible for steering the Group climate strategy and delivering on the Net Zero trajectory. Florian has a background in environmental engineering, with more than 8 years of experience in sustainability strategy as a former consultant and auditor.
Florian joined Nestlé in 2022 where he has focused on turning Net Zero ambition into measurable delivery across complex value chains. As Climate Manager, he partners with procurement, operations, and R&D to translate science-based targets into programs that cut emissions, build resilient sourcing landscapes, and strengthen business performance. His work spans Scope 1–3 decarbonization levers—from low carbon logistics and energy transitions to supplier engagement and on farm interventions—underpinned by robust methodologies and clear governance.
Florian is supporting in building pragmatic roadmaps beyond climate, i.e. covering nature and people as well, connecting data, finance, and operations so that projects create operational benefits across these areas, as well as credible disclosures. He convenes cross functional teams and external partners to accelerate adoption, aligning interventions with leading frameworks (e.g. SBTi, GHG Protocol) and emerging regulation while maintaining a sharp focus on delivery, risk, and value creation for the business.
On this panel, Florian brings a practitioner’s lens: how to prioritize the right actions, remove barriers, and embed nature & climate strategy into day to day decisions.
