Animal welfare organisation PETA has claimed that a facility investigated as part of an exposé into mohair operations has ties to Paul Smith’s supplier of the fibre, which comes from the Angora goat. The animal rights group said the PETA Asia investigation into mohair operations in Lesotho and South Africa took place at several facilities certified by Textile Exchange’s Responsible Mohair Standard.
