Rachel is an independent business and human rights strategist and governance advisor with senior level experience across one of the largest FMCG companies in the world. She previously spent 16 years at Unilever working in Global External Affairs, Supply Chain and the Global Sustainability Function, most recently as Global Head of Human Rights. In this role she was responsible for Unilever’s overall human rights strategy, policies, risk and issues management, advocacy and reporting.

Prior to joining Unilever Rachel worked in the UK Prime Minister’s Political Office in 10 Downing Street on international political relations and as Head of International Relations for the UK Labour Party.

Rachel has a Financial Times Non-Executive Director post-graduate diploma and is a former Board Member of the Ethical Tea Partnership. She is also a qualified workplace, civil and commercial mediator.
