Maarja Meitern is a Systems and Markets Policy Advisor at TenneT Netherlands, working on electricity market design, decentralized solutions and the integration of energy hubs into the power system. Earlier in her career, she founded and led several entrepreneurial ventures, bringing an innovation and business perspective to complex system challenges. Alongside her professional work, she is completing a PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, researching governance and market mechanisms that enable energy communities.
