Ian Welsh is an expert sustainable business commentator, editor and facilitator. He’s been a director of Innovation Forum since 2014.
He is an accomplished conference facilitator, chairing the majority of Innovation Forum’s conference series. His prime areas of focus are business and sustainability issues, including FMCG supply chains for brands and retailers, commodities, deforestation and other climate-related risks, and human rights and modern slavery issues.
As publishing director Ian leads on the development and managing the delivery of Innovation Forum’s audio and written content. In 2018 he launched IF’s weekly sustainable business podcast, which he still hosts every week.
Prior to establishing his own writing and consultancy business in 2004, for eight years he devised and delivered publications and communications strategies for a wide variety of blue-chip commercial, business and government clients while editorial director of a London-based contract publisher.
Ian has a MA in geography from the University of Oxford.
