With a deep-seated passion for sustainability, Jaclyn has dedicated more than a decade to advancing environmental initiatives. Jaclyn currently serves as the sustainability manager at ALDI, where she has worked for the past nine years. She plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s packaging strategy and managing compliance with packaging legislation, such as Extended Producer Responsibility. Jaclyn also spent a year-and-a-half in Salzburg, Austria, collaborating with the International Sustainability team to support the ALDI international packaging strategy.
Jaclyn helped support ALDI in joining industry groups such as The Recycling Partnership and the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, working towards sustainable packaging solutions. She finds the most inspiring aspect of her role is the opportunity to work cross-functionally and drive positive change within the organization. Jaclyn holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from North Central College and a master’s degree in project management from Lewis University, where she managed sustainability projects such as development of the compost program and campus conservation and recycling training.
