Throughout agricultural supply chains, there is a significant gap in the resources and rights given to women and those given to men. Yet women make up 43% of the agricultural labour force and produce 60-80% of the food crops in poorer parts of the world.
Closing the gender gap presents a significant opportunity for business. They can improve the lives of women, their families and communities. All the while, improving productivity in the supply chain.
This session will address what business can do to bridge the gender gap and empower female workers within agricultural supply chains.
